PASSPORT

A passport is used to verify one’s country of citizenship. If traveling outside your country, it is used to regain entry into your country of citizenship. Passports include your photo, name, birth date, gender and physical characteristics. For U.S. citizens, some countries only require a passport for re-entry.

Passport is a document which is used for personal identification during abroad travels. The significant difference between visa and passport is that Visa is an official permission which temporarily authorizes us to stay in a foreign country and the passport is a document that certifies our identity during our travels

Application for passport should be made through online in the passport website and the date, time and place of Seva Kendra  is to be generated on successful submission of application .The applicant has to physically visit the Seva Kendra with all the relevant documents.

while applying for a passport, it is not necessary to upload the documents. You can carry all the documents : original as well as photocopy along with the passport application form to the passport office on the day and time of appointment

Following are the basic documents required:

• Birth Certificate & 10th/SSLC Certificate.
• ID Proof(Pan Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID)
• Address Proof( Aadhaar Card, Voter ID or Bank Passbook)
• If Married, then marriage certificate.
