Solvency certificate is proof of solvency which means that the person’s assets are more than his liabilities. Solvency certificate certifies an individual’s creditworthiness. The Government of Kerala issues solvency certificate to verify the solvency of a person who undertakes works or functions.
A solvency certificate authenticates that you are not a declared insolvent. The solvency certificate certifies one creditworthiness and the said certificate helps you to obtain financial support by way of loans from banks and other financial institutions.
Solvency certificate is generally issued by the revenue department such as Tehsildar or Sub-Divisional Magistrate and banks on request. Banks usually issue this certificate to their customers based on the account transactions and property documents available to them.
